Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys in all aspects of family law cases, including divorce, parentage, and adoption
- Prepare and draft legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, discovery and affidavits
- File documents with the court and maintain case files
- Prepare correspondence
- Manage calendars and schedule appointments for attorneys
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel in a professional manner
- Organize and maintain document management systems
Skills:
- Proficient in data entry and document management systems
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in legal drafting and document preparation
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Knowledge of phone etiquette and professional communication skills
