Vintage Large Royal Doulton "Ugly Duchess" D6599 Character Jug - $249 (Rockford)

Royal Doulton Character Jug, Ugly Duchess D6599 (green, purple, and pink coloration).
Designed by Max Henk.
Series: Alice in Wonderland, issued 1965-1973.
The Ugly Duchess lives in Wonderland and plays Croquet with the Queen.
Alice found the game a curious one, with live Hedgehogs for balls, Flamingos for mallets and playing card soldiers, who doubled over to serve as the arches.
Measures 7" tall x 6" wide handle to spout.
This piece is in excellent condition.
No chips, cracks or repairs.
