As a member of our teaching staff, you will:
Create a safe, nurturing environment where children can play and learn
Partner with parents with a shared desire to provide the best care and education for their children
Support your center’s success by partnering with center staff and leadership to achieve goals around enrollment, accreditation, and engagement
Cultivate positive relationships with families, teachers, state licensing authorities, community contacts and corporate partners
Implement curriculum in a way that is consistent with the unique needs of each child

Required Skills and Experience:
CPR and First Aid Certification
Active Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential (or willing to obtain)
Must be physically able to use a computer with basic proficiency, lift a minimum of 40 pounds, and work indoors or outdoors
Must be able to assume postures in low levels to allow physical and visual contact with children, see and hear well enough to keep children safe, and engage in physical activity with children
All center staff applicants must meet state specific guidelines for the role
knowledge of development for 6 weeks to 12-year old's.
provide a safe, clean, play based, family friendly environment
ability to track a child's growth and needs by ASQ/assessments provided by Little Scholars to extend their learning knowledge.
build relationships with families and help children develop social-emotional skills with peers & teachers.
Willing/able to get down on the floor with children and play with them on their level.
Comfortable giving and receiving hugs.
Qualifications
one year of related experience
associates degree in ECE or related field
Lead teacher qualified based off of DCFS standards
communication skills
understanding of ages & stages/milestones
ability to multitask
ability to be flexible
ability to be a TEAM player
ability to keep all training up to date yearly
willing to float in and out of classrooms
