Gunnar Nylund for Rorstrand Sweden Vintage Stoneware Teapot 3 Piece Set.
Very rare off white eggshell color of this wonderful teapot 3 piece set.
Gunnar Nylund's pottery is highly regarded and collected.
The marks on both of the teapot sections indicate that this exquisite work of art was created during the 1940's or 1950's according to Rorstrand historical data for marks made on their pottery.
There are 3 pieces to this teapot set.
(2) main sections, and a small lid for the upper teapot section.
There is a porcelain rose banded attachment which was on the teapot.
It appears to hold the top lid in place.
It is a beatuiful addition to the teapot.
I believe it was added as an accessory afterwards, and is not part of the original Gunnar Nylund teapot.
However, It will be included in the purchase of this teapot.
With the rare eggshell off white color the teapot takes on the "LOOK" of an egg.
There are various color's that Gunnar Nylund represented this teapot in, however, I have not seen a similar one of this fairly uniform off white eggshell color represented in the extensive research performed before offering this Mid Century art pottery teapot for sale.
What a wonderful collectible teapot work of art.
